Koon T'au Boe

That's what koon t'au boe is. The term is usually used in conjunction with a threat, wakakaka.

DAP Seri Delima assemblyperson RSN Rayer had koon t'au boe shown in his face, figuratively, as some violent UMNO people stormed the Penang DUN looking for him, while another pack of hoodlums threatened to burn the DAP building in KL.

Thank the gods (of all denominations) for small mercies as they didn't resort to the deadlier tactics of 13 May 1969, though the threat to burn the DAP building in KL could be considered as a la May 13.

Vision 2020? Unless UMNO leaders like KJ need to get a grip on its members and guide them on more civilised values and behaviour, Malaysia will continue to be a banana ... er ... nation*.

* the usual term is 'banana republic' but I could be charged for lèse-majesté if I use the latter word, wakakaka

If we allow such hooliganism to prevail with impunity, who knows, soon we may join those type of violent people in Thailand who use hand grenades all too easily.

p/s I'm sure you all have enough posts and news articles on Dyana Sofya to read so I have decided to give her sweet self a rest from my blogging wakakaka

  1. Kaytee,by the Umno Youth's recent actions, one can know that the very possibility of a bigger majority by Dyana is sending shockwaves down the spines of Umno big guns.

So in times of desperation, desperate peoiple do desperate things. They will try all sorts of intimidation. The recent storming of the Penang August House and the recent threats of burning down of the DAP headquarters are acts of babarian desperations. But hey these barbarians can do anything as they have immunity from the authorities.

Khairy has lost control of his Umno Youths. An well educated man like him would never let his boys run wild like this. This is not Medan and Hadyai in the sixties and seventies when armed men, robbers and rapists roamed the streets in daylight.

    1. Yeah especially they think that UMNO = Malay = Malaysia. UMNO is U Must Not Oppose. Hence the way of dealing with UMNO is not to play their game. Even if it means you have to go beyond the rules by laws imposed by UMNO themselves

  4. Kaytee, since you are the expert in doing research can you please tell us how many democratic countries have let their Parliament,Senate,Congress or others being attacked by thugs connected with the ruling regimes. When I said democratic countries I do not mean Somalia,Zimbabwe,Libya and other Afrcan countries.Only countries that practiced Western democracies.

    1. When police allow thugs to attack a building, without any arrests or even any serious attempt to stop them, it is usually because the police are virtually sympathisers with the attackers or under orders not to interfere.

Recent cases in other countries are Eastern Ukraine, where local police (Russian sympathisers) allowed protesters to storm government buildings , and Vietnam, where the anti-China violence was obviously practically condoned by the normally authoritarian Vietnam government

    2. Thailand - military/police allowed its version of Perkasa, Suthep Thaugsuban's PDRC, to attack/enter the democratically elected government ministries

    3. And they win, don't they. What makes you think UMNO won't do the same?

  5. UMNO Youth has rightly been excoriated for its thuggish behaviour in intruding into the Penang State Assembly as well as its threats of violence against DAP members as well as the DAP building in KL.

However, RSN Rayer is not blameless in this chain of events. He needs to be aware of his position as a member of the State Legislature, and be more responsible in the choice of words he uses in public.

Words have their consequences, once uttered, especially in public, they cannot be taken back.

  6. This is somehow related to the Dyana-mania sweeping the country.

UMNO is worried , deeply worried about its support base being poached by DAP, especially among the younger voters.

Hence the extreme reactions to ensure the Malays stay chained to UMNO with the Race-Religion arguments.

  14. umno-how-to-redeem-honor-when-they-act-so-dishonorably. so they feel insulted so they retaliate in the most honorable way they can think off, storming the legislative house.pelting eggs with all sorts of insults written, bordering on vulgarity. threatening to burn DAP HQ with, a party with more YBs than their they have common sense.. and on and on, shouting abuse at an MP whose only connection to the perceived slight is that both are from same party. Rayer's perceived insult from his annoyance pales in insignificance to the self inflicted damage or anihilation of what dignity and honor UMNO has left, which the UMNO youth goons destroyed totally by their so honorable means to redeem their lost honour from the words which mean acccursed..
so i mentioned this to a malay buddy of mine who actually is an UMNO supporter and I said " celaka lah betul,,kau penyokong: and he rebuked me " diam lah lu cina bingai"
but then instead of threatening to burn my house down , he said " joom lah , kita gi mamk kena teh tarik" ... i said " Beres" habis cerita..!

Malaysia is rapidly descending into Jungle Law (potentially much worse than Thailand's Martial Law).

Criminal intimidation - using the threat of violence to force a person or group to behave according to demands - is acceptable behaviour if you belong to UMNO or its allies. There will be either no legal consequences or very trivial ones.
The police treat it as a "private matter", no arrests, no prosecutions.

PDRM simply does not understand the law. Two people arguing may be a private matter, but the moment violence is threatened, it is a criminal matter.

PDRM , from the PIG (Police Inspector General) downwards better think very clearly and very carefully about this. There are very serious repercussions to the rule of law, and safety and security in Malaysia of treating Criminal Initimidation as a private matter.

Think carefully about these examples, and what happens to society if police treat it as a private matter.
"If you don't pay up your debt, you will get hurt."
"If you don't withdraw your complaint, we will burn your car."
"If you continue to speak up, consider what we can do to your children."
