MACC lawless conduct against DAP's contractor

Malaysiakini tells us in its MACC now quizzes contractor over Selangor state funds that poor Lee Wye Wing, a contractor who had done several small scale community construction projects in Seri Kembangan for Selangor exco Ean Yong Hian Wah, has been hauled in for questioning for the second time.

Not only that, six weeks ago the MACC confiscated the central processing unit of Lee's computer without any notice, effectively screwing up his contractual work. The MACC had refused to allow Lee to make a copy of his working files.

In outrage Ean Yong lambasted the MACC: "This violates the Section 33 (3) of the MACC Act, which stipulates that a list of the things confiscated must be provided to the owner."

"Does this mean the MACC authorities can simply come into my house and confiscate my things without issuing a receipt of the items they had taken? What is the difference between stealing and confiscation then?"

A pathetic case of lawless 'siapa rajah'!

Ean Yong asked pointedly: "It appears that the MACC is more interested and more aggressive in investigating cases which are worth RM2,400 used to purchase 1,500 Malaysia flags and RM112 used to purchase a banner.”

"Meanwhile they are neglecting serious allegations such as the Khir (Toyo's) palace which is worth RM24 million and the PKFZ which is worth RM125 million."

But what is worse has been UMNO’s MACC getting paid from public purse to do UMNO’s work!

Mana bolehlah, stealing both Lee’s computer CPU and taxpayers’ money

And we suspect, stealing Teoh Beng Hock’s young life!

  1. It is not the action of the MACC that has stuck to my mind.WE have got used to that. But what really worries me is the silence of the law - abiding citizens. It is not so much the agitation but the acquiescence that disturbs me.Raman

  3. When are they going to investigate the $27 million spent by UMNO/BN Aduns in the 1 month before GE 2008?

The matter came to light last year and I believe more than 1 police report has been made.

What are they waiting for? Shooting Stars? Xmas?

If there seems to no prioritisation of investigations based on the quantum of money involved, then they only have themselves to balame if public perception is that there is selective prosecution based on political affiliation and bias!!

  7. Mcca pulls up MCA Ong - billions for just 3 hours makan angin whereas a few hundred or thousand ringgit jobs have to be there until late at night. It seems MCCA can count up to thousands but not billions. Anyway, MCA Ong may have a good time there - buy KFC to MCCA buggers during Ramadan and maybe watch 2 movies. With BN every thing OK and under control
